Responsibilities:
Build relationships with Clients and Customers.
Assemble shelving and create displays.
Merchandise products according to Plan-o-gram.
Place price signs and point of purchase material.

Responsibilities

Position Summary
The Set Merchandiser works in new stores before the grand opening, works at night remodeling stores. This position requires the use of basic hand tools. You will assemble steel shelving, set uprights, build walls, move racking, install racking, set steel beams, demo and reset racking, signage and current displays, and merchandise products according to Plan-o-gram. In addition, you will place price signs and POP (Point of Purchase) materials.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Relations
Communicate effectively both internally with company management and externally with all customers
Build rapport with Clients and Customers
Field questions and proactively develop action plans to resolve issues
Construction
- Assemble shelving and create displays, place uprights, build walls, move racking, install metal racking, set steel beams, demolition, hang signage, and create displays
Merchandising
Merchandise products according to Plan-o-gram
Place price signs and point of purchase material
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities for direct reports
Indirect Reports
- This position does not have guidance or mentoring responsibilities for indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
• Travel is an essential duty and function of this job. This position will require extensive out of town travel 4 -6 weeks at a time and most of the work is from 9 PM to 6 AM, Monday – Friday. Driving is an essential duty and function of this job
Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): High School Diploma or GED
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Retail
• 0-2 years of previous experience in merchandising a plus
Skills, Knowledge, Abilities, and Software/Tools:
• Must be mechanically inclined and adept with basic hand tools
• Ability to complete daily procedures and responsibilities without direct supervision.
• Must demonstrate good judgment and show respect for others
• Ability to communicate with email and basic internet skills
Associate will be required to use these tools on the job: (Not Applicable in California)
Tools will be provided but can be provided by associate should they be more comfortable with their own tools.

Environmental & Physical Requirements:
Field / Reps Requirements
Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed in a retail in-store environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: engage in considerable physical activity, ability to lift and/or push up to 74 pounds, stand on feet for long periods of time, use products or cook food as appropriate for the demonstration, and may be required to work in extremely cold conditions (i.e. refrigerated and freezer sections). Also required to travel and drive. The use of proper safety practices when handling the products and/or cooking is essential.
