The role of the Media Director is to develop and manage the day-to-day retail media strategy, planning
and execution across a portfolio of clients. S/he is responsible for client leadership, program strategy,
resource planning, and associate growth and development across his/her assigned book of accounts.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a book of business comprised of multiple commerce media clients
• Lead day-to-day Retail Media team in planning, activation and management of integrated commerce
media campaigns
• Work closely with Retail Media Network partners and monitor industry trends to help inform media
strategy
• Drive new ideas, opportunities, and best practices among coworkers and clients
• Collaborate with Strategy and Creative teams to develop breakthrough ideas and programs
• Collaborate with Analytics team to quantify the impact of our work on our clients’ business
• Lead and inspire a team of media talent, consistently getting the highest quality work out of the team
while fostering a healthy and energizing work environment
• Contribute to continuous process improvements, workflow efficiency, and deliverable quality
• Oversee program budgets, campaign delivery, invoicing and billing reconciliation
• Establish strong relationships with client peers and key media/technology partners
• Serve as a retail and commerce media evangelist across our team, educating and inspiring both
clients and agency staff about best practices and emerging trends
• Foster a culture of continuous questioning, learning and innovation
QUALIFICATIONS
• 9+ years digital media experience as both a practitioner and team lead across retail media, paid
search, paid social and/or programmatic
• Ecommerce and/or CPG experience preferred
• Able to present new ideas, opportunities, points of view and best practices in a logical format/flow and
with confidence
• Proven team builder, able to effectively lead and motivate a team from strategy and plan
development to execution and measurement
• Experience with bid management software i.e. SKAI, Pacvue, etc.
• Capable of developing and maintaining relationships with key capability-specific partners/vendors
• Experience with common syndicated research, media planning and ad tech tools (e.g., Kantar, MRI
Simmons, Mediaocean, various RMNs, ad servers, and DSPs)
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills (written & verbal)
• Outstanding troubleshooting, problem-solving and issue resolution skills, along with an ability to
collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

• - Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide
processes, tools and resources
• - May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Assume responsibility for the growth and vitality of the company’s media practice and of your clients’ business.
Develop and/or approve direction of RFPs that lead publishers in devising innovative approaches to meeting campaign objectives and delivering value.
Ensure accurate record keeping and finances on all accounts.
Work with cross-functional departments to ensure flawless execution.
Review final reconciliation of campaign and authorize client refunds if appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications
The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
8+ years of experience in Media at an agency
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Strong understanding of both awareness and performance digital media channels and strategies, including display, mobile, video, paid search, programmatic and social media
Previous success in the planning, development and management of digital media campaigns for brands or products
Experience with DoubleClick and other 3rd party tracking solutions preferred
Experience with the following technology platforms preferred (Self-Serve Programmatic DSPs, DFA, Facebook UI/FBX)
Ability to analyze data and deeply understanding of measurement practices, 3rd party measurement companies and web analytics
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects simultaneously
Proven client service orientation with strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation skills
Ability to consistently perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment as an individual on a team
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated interest in keeping up with emerging technologies and digital marketing trends

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
