Senior Manager, Social Media

At our Company, we grow People, Brands, and Businesses! We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager,Social Media to join our Integrated team. This team’s mission is to partner with various B2C and B2B client teams to push the boundaries and deliver best-in-class social work. This recently-established team is growing quickly and is a core focus for agency growth.

We are seeking candidates who will thrive in this entrepreneurial environment, who have a knack for translating brand goals into social strategies, and who have a proven track record of selling in innovative ideas across both paid advertising and organic social efforts.

This role will be responsible for the development, execution and measurement of cross-channel social content plans. Candidates should have an in-depth understanding of platform capabilities and trends and be able to showcase strong copywriting and presentation skills.

This person should bring both analytical and creative experience to the table. Serving as the team’s cross-functional glue, the Senior Manager, Social Media will be essential to connecting the dots between data-driven insights and exceptional creative.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead creation of comprehensive yearly or campaign-specific social plans including:

  • Social objectives & KPIs

  • Audiences

  • Social ID

  • Platform ecosystem

  • Content approach & pillars

  • Calendar planning

  • Paid, audience & retargeting strategies

  • Reporting outlines

  • Lead analytics team in creating succinct and insights-driven social reports

  • Partner with creative teams to develop social-first ideas and tactics for current clients and new business pitches

  • Partner with Media, Digital and other teams to develop holistic, social-integrated ideas

  • Deliver POVs and other thought leadership materials on navigating social, digital and cultural trends

  • Thoughtfully propose ways to improve social processes and other ways of working

  • Use concepting and copywriting skills to collaborate with creative teams to write, edit and proof social copy

  • Implement and optimize paid advertising campaigns using native advertising tools

  • Develop social media calendars and publish content using Sprout Social

  • Support our Intelligence team by using social listening tools or use on-platform searches to identify consumer insights

  • Support our Influencer/PR team by researching and recommending influencers/advocates based on brand fit and communicating with partners to ensure executions are on-brand and on-strategy

  • Support social community manager for ad hoc client needs

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree inMarketing, Business or other related fields of study or equivalent experiencerequired; Bachelor’s Degreeor equivalent experience preferred

  • 5-6+ years of experience in Social Media, social platforms and other related areas

  • Direct experience implementing and measuring paid advertisings campaigns across all major social platforms

  • Direct experience producing content across all major social platforms

  • Experience with Excel/Google sheets formulas is a plus

  • Experience with Sprout Social, Kenshoo or Google Analytics is a plus

  • Strong prioritization skills

The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today.

Position Summary

The Sr Mgr Social Media is responsible for the development and execution of cross-channel social content plans, which requires a solid understanding of social platforms, and a thorough understanding of both paid and organic social marketing. This position must heavily utilize concept and copywriting skills to collaborate with creative content producers and social media strategists to write, edit and proof copy for all types of social content. Additionally, this role must utilize social analytics tools and perform extensive research, and then articulate findings, insights and ideas to clients and team members.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage Social interaction with consumers on behalf of client brands

  • Dive into Social analytics tools to identify consumer insights and program trends

  • Research the reach, relevance and impact of relevant brand influencers/advocates

  • Communicate directly with relevant influencers/advocates on behalf of client brands

  • Articulate insights and ideas to clients and team members

  • Contribute to the evolution of the agency’s approach to Social as a discipline

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports

Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports

May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

(Preferred): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Marketing, Business or other related field of study

8+ years of experience in Social Media, social platforms and other related areas
