VP Customer Experience – Cincinnati based

The VP of Customer Experience is responsible for strategic and business development efforts on behalf of Advantage Marketing Partners, a division of Advantage Solutions, for a major grocery retailer. This role will develop and foster senior level relationships with each of our client’s six Marketing Centers of Excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Drive relationship building with new Marketing Centers of Excellence leaders/teams

  • Be the go-to provider of monetizable ideas and solutions grounded in strategic problem solving for both our retail Customer and our CPG clients/partners

  • Maintain innovation strategies on a parallel track

  • Drive new revenue streams with collaborative programming across Advantage Marketing Partners’ network

  • Partner and interface with all Customer teams including Sales, Shopper Marketing, Retail

  • Odyssey, Discoveries and Technology Services to establish new services

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, business or related field

  • 10+ years of experience in retail marketing, shopper marketing and/or consumer promotions with a marketing firm/agency or as a corporate marketing executive at a CPG brand

  • 5 to 10 years successfully managing client expectations either personally or through a team

  • Experience working with VP level and above positions

Position Summary

VP Customer Excellence role will assist both the Client Services and Agency teams with efforts to increase client experience on Shopper Marketing and Discoveries Leadership. This position splits responsibilities between Shopper and Discoveries and reports to both Shopper and Experiential leadership.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

For Shopper Marketing:

Leads entire Customer Connect efforts

  • Builds construct of Customer Connect rich and reach strategy for all pods

  • Establishes and drives oversight of Customer Connect IP

  • Creates governance among agency business leads to ensure regular cadence and needs are met (including individual client BIG BETs)

  • Identifies training opportunities for team members growth and continued education (partner to Biz Leads)

  • Delivers enhanced understanding of total enterprise offerings along with examples of how to leverage total marketing services to close whitespace within the customer/channel

  • Creates and maintains information share portal for clients and agency

  • Partners with Sales Lead to develop and contribute marketing content for Annual Summits/Town Halls expanding content include and marketing relevant material

  • Expanding attendees to include better representation among marketing clients

  • Manages overall exchange amongst each Connect team to share news, success and learning.

  • Partners closely with Strategic Planning and Customer Teams.

For Experiential Marketing:

  • Responsible for building Total Kroger Marketing team in conjunction with Talent Acquisition

  • Responsible for Kroger Marketing Relationships

  • Guide and collaborate with Sr. Director of Client Services on Kroger Engagement Reporting

  • Guide and collaborate with Sr. Director of Client Services on Relationships, Reporting & Program Activation

  • Lead and collaborate with Director and CS team on annual program calendars

  • Guide Discoveries and Lead Creative Services Director on Communications and Fulfillment

  • Create Annual Communication Plan/Deploy On-Going PR Campaign

  • Lead Master Data Management Project with Kroger

  • Lead Non-Traditional “Broker” Services

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports

  • Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports

  • May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

  • Travel and Driving are not essential duties or functions of this job

  • Travel up to 40%

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business with an emphasis in Client Management

8+ Years of experience in related field
