Director HR Compliance

The Human Resource Compliance Director is responsible for developing programs, policies and practices to ensure that business units are compliant with evolving policies and regulations for effective workforce management. This key HR leader will be responsible for developing, managing, consulting on, and collaborating with relevant business partners on Company and division-specific workforce compliance strategy in coordination with employment counsel to further consistency, fairness, and compliance while supporting and advancing business objectives.

Responsibilities

The Company is one of North America’s leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. Job Duty

· Review and evaluate company and division-specific workforce policies, procedures, business programs and initiatives to identify compliance opportunities and recommend solutions

· Create, recommend, and/or refine Company and division-specific policies, procedures, training, communications, tools, and other resources and provide executional oversight

· Collaborate with identified business leaders, Legal and Human Resources partners regarding policies, procedures, and programs (including, but not limited to, compliance monitoring and workforce audits, workforce planning, acquisition integration, growth strategies, ramp ups, and new business models planning) to identify compliance opportunities and develop action plans including communication and documentation as necessary

· Develop, track, and analyze compliance metrics to identify trends, evaluate effectiveness of strategies and action plans, and continually enhance strategies for improving compliance

· Prepare executive reports to identify material analytics, areas of opportunity, and recommendations and solutions

· Maintain knowledge of legal updates that may impact workforce compliance strategy and develop and communicate recommendations

· Manage remote team of Workforce Compliance Partners and provide strategic consultation to guide compliance investigations, manage overall performance and identify and support growth and development opportunities

· Manages vendor relationship with NAVEX for EthicsPoint Incident Management system

· Key administrator for incident management system handling security, development and overall management of database as well as overseeing regular reporting of data

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct Reports

  • Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports

  • May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Master’s Degree in HR is strongly preferred

Field of Study/Area of Experience: 10+ years of experience in related Human Resources compliance roles, with 5+ years of management experience

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

· SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP is preferred

· Experience building and optimizing compliance programs across diverse teams and cultures in a global organization

· Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt quickly to shifting priorities and work effectively under pressure with multiple deliverables; must be able to make timely decisions

· Creativity and a willingness to challenge existing approaches if there’s a better way

· Ability to foster strong relationships with key executives and consult, advise and influence at all levels of the organization to further organization compliance

· Data-driven thought leader able to generate and execute ideas at both strategic and tactical levels

· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

· Experience managing large-scale, complex projects

· Experience with remote field workforce preferred

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
