Responsibilities:

  • Conduct target screenings and evaluations of possible mergers and acquisitions, including financial modeling and analysis

  • Discuss results and make recommendations to leadership regarding potential transactions and their impact on the organization

  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence on transaction targets

  • Develop comprehensive presentation materials appropriate for the targeted audience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent job-related experience

Experience:

  • 2 – 4 years of experience with an investment bank, private equity firm or corporate M&A group

  • Familiarity with the CPG and/or retail industry is a plus, but not required

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytics, financial modeling skills

  • Familiarity with working in or with large organizations

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen

Position Summary

The Mergers & Acquisitions Associate is responsible for supporting the Company’s growth through acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Analyzes possible mergers, acquisitions, and makes recommendations as to their impact on the organization's profitability. Mergers & Acquisitions Associate conducts due diligence for finance mergers and acquisitions opportunities with a focus on strategic planning and corporate development.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct target screenings and evaluations of possible mergers and acquisitions, including financial modeling and analysis. Discusses results and makes recommendations regarding potential profitability and impact to organization to Mergers & Acquisitions management.

  • Complete comprehensive due diligence studies.

  • Develop comprehensive presentation materials appropriate for the targeted audience.

  • Act as project manager for post-acquisition integration activities to ensure a smooth and successful integration of merged/acquired companies/assets.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

(Preferred): MBA Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Finance or Business Administration

  • 5+ years of experience in financial background; focus with M&A highly desirable

  • Must possess quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen

  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
