Summary
Account Supervisor
Adlucent is looking for its next great Account Supervisor to drive team and client success. Account Supervisors have a leadership role leading a pod, and responsible for overseeing and optimizing multiple client accounts. Account Supervisors play a pivotal role in the development and execution of paid search and other paid media strategies, while also mentoring and guiding their direct reports. Deep expertise in paid search advertising will be instrumental in delivering outstanding results for our clients.
Account Supervisors are seen as leaders within Client Services (CS) and are a connecting point between Leadership and the CS team. They can effectively filter and communicate information to all stakeholders. They help Adlucent achieve, form, and understand company goals. They have a strong voice in company meetings and help to positively influence morale.
Key Responsibilities (Client & Performance Management):
Client Management: Serve as a client point of contact, ensuring their needs and objectives are met or exceeded in a timely manner. Serves as a point of escalation when issues arise and ensures account managers respond to requests accurately and fully.
Strategy Development: Collaborate with clients to develop advanced paid search strategies aligned with their business goals, including budget allocation, audience targeting, and campaign structure.
Quarterly Business Reviews: Ownership and coordination of any related deliverables for Strategic Business Reviews, including deck ownership, follow-up ownership, and responsibility for presenting in person or remotely.
Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to account managers, assisting in their professional development and growth.
Campaign Optimization: Oversee and, when necessary, actively manage paid search campaigns, continuously analyzing and optimizing performance to maximize ROI.
Performance Analysis: Utilize advanced analytics and reporting tools to assess campaign performance, providing clients with insights and recommendations for improvement.
How to recognize performance declines and trends worth escalating (good or bad)
Process for monitoring account performance effectively
Ability to audit and brainstorm on any account, and make recommendations for improvement.
Ability to prioritize those activities that will make the biggest impact and form an action plan.
Budget Allocation: Manage budgets effectively to ensure optimal utilization of clients' advertising spend across platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and others.
Strategic Planning: Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating new strategies and tactics to maintain a competitive edge.
Client Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports summarizing campaign performance and present findings to clients, highlighting key achievements and areas for growth.
Quality Control: Ensure adherence to best practices and compliance with industry standards, maintaining the highest level of quality in all campaigns.
Onboarding: Supports the onboarding of new clients by ensuring you and your team have an understanding of the client's business and goals. Ensure onboarding activities are completed on time and client satisfaction is ensured throughout the onboarding process.
Admin: Ensure upkeep of key agency administrative items including billing, account status updates, and other internal procedures.

Team Leadership: Provide clear direction, vision, and goals to team members, including motivating and inspiring the team to achieve their best performance and fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
Performance Management: Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Recognize and reward high performance and address performance issues promptly.
Communication:
Maintain open and transparent communication within the team and with upper management.
Act as a bridge between the team and higher levels of the organization.
Ensure that team members are well-informed about company goals and changes.
Coaching and Development:
Identify team members' strengths and areas for growth.
Provide coaching and mentorship to help team members develop their skills and careers.
Support learning and development opportunities for the team.
Ensure Performance Reviews are thoughtfully conducted, constructive, in-depth and delivered on time
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Participate in the recruitment process by interviewing and selecting new team members.
Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires, ensuring they feel welcome and prepared to succeed.
Conflict Resolution:
Address conflicts and interpersonal issues within the team promptly and professionally.
Mediate disputes and find solutions that promote collaboration and harmony.
Resource Management:
Manage team resources efficiently, including budgets, equipment, and workspace.
Allocate tasks and projects effectively based on team members' skills and capacity.
Goal Setting and Planning:
Collaborate with upper management to set team goals aligned with the organization's objectives.
Develop action plans and strategies to achieve these goals.
Compliance and Policy Adherence:
Ensure team members adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Promote a safe and compliant work environment.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
Encourage innovation and creativity within the team.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Be prepared to lead and support the team during crises or emergencies.

About you:

Additionally, you have:
3+ years account or management experience in paid search advertising, preferably managing multi-million dollar budget search programs
Strong client and team leadership qualities, comfortable contributing to the company’s thought leadership, especially with SEM industry topics
Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles and excellent project management skills
Ability to be an advanced technical/discipline leader, and manage client communication without requiring supervisor involvement
Ability to draw critical analysis from data and make specific recommendations – i.e. adapted to change strategies and recommendations based on data sets
Experience managing and developing career growth of direct/indirect reports
Experience in managing complex digital advertising campaigns (retail vertical preferred) with client management duties
Ability to effectively communicate with clients via email, phone, video conference, and/or on-site as needed
Technical understanding of digital performance marketing including tracking and attribution methods
Comfort growing a book of business and forecasting financials
Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides
Google Certification (Fundamentals), Analytics and Google Ads Certification
Bonus if you have:
Experience managing paid social, programmatic/display, and/or retail media campaigns
Retail experience includes but is not limited to: eCommerce; merchandising and promotions; multi-channel marketing; branding

Position Summary
The Account Supervisor functions as a leader of Agency shopper marketing program deliverables within multiple categories or retail channels. Primary role is to provide leadership as the face of the Agency to client contact(s) during the conception, creative communications design development, retail sell-in, execution and analysis of account/brand-specific programs. Responsible for spearheading and synchronizing a cross-functional team to deliver strategic business planning frameworks, communication platforms, program concept development, effective sales presentations, retail sell-in support, and analysis of results.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Personal Accountability
When brand facing, sit on-site with clients, fully representing the agency in-front of the client and representing the brand back to the agency.
Develop and own key influencer relationships that build a trust-based partnership with client teams, agency partners, and third party vendors
Demonstrate working knowledge of consumer/shopper marketing landscapes and the client’s own industry to develop new business opportunities and potential revenue streams within existing client
Design and lead proposal and program development presentations with limited guidance from a Director
Establish agency thought leadership for defined area of responsibility
Supervise and/or directly manage program execution, budgets, tracking, and post-promotional reporting in accordance with company systems and processes
When field facing, responsible for key channel or customer comprising 10%+ of the client’s business
Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and development of direct reports with support of a Director
Other related duties as assigned
Cross-Functional Accountability
Partner with Planning team members to develop category, channel, customer and competitive brand marketplace insights, identify most value consumer targets, communication strategy, innovation opportunities, promotion program objectives, strategies and tactical recommendations for programs, leveraging key consumer/shopper insights that drive purchase behavior change
Demonstrate leadership to internal Agency concept, creative design, and production team members in order to ensure all deliverables are on strategy and meet client expectations
Engage, mentor, and inspire Agency cross-functional team by teaching the fundamentals, demonstrate, and empower proactive thinking, prioritize goals, and facilitate conflict resolution as needed
Communicate and interact effectively with cross-agency teams for all departments and/or clients to deliver timely client decisions and approvals
Other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
(Preferred): MBA Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Marketing/Brand Management
-3-5 years of experience in the role of leader/manager in agency, brand management, and/or media production
-6+ years of experience in consumer product, brand manage, media, or agency experience preferred
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines
Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
Creative self-start with strong relationship, organization, negotiation, and problem solving skills
Able to work with third party properties, agencies, suppliers and media organizations
