Summary
Position Summary
To support the Financial Transformation within Advantage Solutions, a Financial Planning & Consolidation project is currently underway to implement the Oracle EPM suite of products. This role will have the opportunity to get in on the ground floor and actively participate in the project as the modules are designed and created. This individual will assume responsibility for the Planning modules and associated reporting in EPM after go-live.
This role will also serve as a business partner ensuring that IT initiatives are aligned with the business objectives and priorities of the various Finance teams. This role will have responsibility for ensuring that all Oracle EPM processes are completed in a timely manner to ensure the successful completion of financial planning (budget/forecast) cycles.

Responsibilities
• Provide technical oversight of the Planning modules and associated ETL / reporting in the Oracle EPM suite
• Collaborate with Finance teams to identify new/revised EPM requirements, translate requirements into technical solutions, formulate proposed prioritization / timing, gain approval from the EPM leadership council, and complete implementation and testing activities
• Ensure best practices and alignment with other modules of the EPM suite of products are considered when implementing master data, business rule, or other technical modifications
• Provide training, guidance, and support to end-users on financial planning and reporting activities
• Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the business objectives of the various Finance teams
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the various systems and applications
• Develop and manage IT project plans, timelines, and budgets related to financial planning and reporting
• Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, including process maps, technical diagrams, and training materials
• Maintain a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer service excellence within the IT team
• Stay current with emerging technologies and trends related to financial planning, consolidation, and reporting

Indirect Reports
- May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job
Education Level:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
Field of Study/Area of Experience:
Proven experience (5 years) in financial planning and consolidation, preferably in a leadership role
In-depth knowledge of financial planning and consolidation systems such as Oracle Cloud EPM, Oracle Hyperion, OneStream including implementing master data, business rule, ETL, and reporting changes
Strong understanding of financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and consolidation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience managing IT projects related to financial planning and reporting
Hands-on Project Delivery experience delivering solutions for the planning modules in EPM
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Familiarity with IT governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Well-organized and detail oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
Able to build strong working relationships with both Finance and IT colleague at various levels
Strong written communication and verbal communication skills at Executive and team levels

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Job Duty
Software Development Management
Lead project planning and sizing activities, identify resource requirements, and oversee a team of internal and external resources capable of producing specified deliverables
Create and maintain an software development project plan that communicates tasks, milestone dates, status, and resource allocation
Identify and communicate major milestones and risks to achieving those milestones in a positive manner
Coordinate delivery of development (beta) and production releases that meet quality assurance standards
Manage software development projects around the BI platform to ensure quality, on time, within budget delivery from requirement definition through testing, rollout, and support
Perform work breakdown and task identification, assign tasks to project resources, track progress on assigned tasks, and manage the assembly of completed tasks into coherent deliverables
Technical Leadership
Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy code for business intelligence and database technology platforms
Plan and execute efforts to address technical debt for legacy systems and processes
Share acquired skills/knowledge with team members and mentor junior engineers
Collaborate with test team in creating a Quality Assurance strategy for supporting both new and legacy BI systems
Develop and enforce development best practices
Lead code reviews and technical exchange sessions
Manage the development and maintenance of technical documents
End User Support
Create a user support structure that addresses user requests with minimal impact on ongoing project work
Manage user training and onboarding activities.
Perform technical liaison functions to all clients/customers

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: computer science, engineering or related education/professional work experience
6+ years of significant experience with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS
6+ years of relevant experience with Systems Analysis and documentation
Deep knowledge of related technologies such as SSAS, Microsoft and third party BI tools, .NET
Current experience presenting technical solutions to business and technical audiences
Experience leading software development teams through all phases of the SDLC
Experience managing business clients or customers
Advanced communication, organization, and project management skills
SCRUM Master and working within an Agile process a plus
Prior consulting experience is a big plus
