Responsibilities:

• Work with various teams and vendors to design, implement, and troubleshoot network, security, and application solutions to business problems in a timely manner.

• Design and implement security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and external attacks on the company’s information systems.

• Ensure systems are compliant with company security standards.

• Develop and maintain systems documentation to include administration guides, network, and configuration diagrams.

• Provide technical expertise and training to less experienced staff.

• Provide support for priority issues including on-call support during non-business hours.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree inInformation Technology, Network Engineering, and Information Securityor equivalent job-related experience required

• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; good interpersonal skills

• Ability to research and analyze data effectively;strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Experience managing various Cisco networking and security products; system security and health for hundreds of network devices; Microsoft Active Directory and associated technologies;Microsoft System Center products; Solarwinds Orion products

Position Summary

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with various teams and vendors to design, implement, and troubleshoot network, security, and application solutions to business problems in a timely manner

• Design and implement security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to prevent internal and external attacks on the company’s information systems

• Ensure systems are compliant with company security standards

• Develop and maintain systems documentation to include administration guides, network, and configuration diagrams

• Provide technical expertise and training to less experienced staff

• Provide support for priority issues including on-call support during non-business hours

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

• Field of Study/Area of Experience: Information Technology, Network Engineering, and Information Security

• 8+ years of experience in Information Technology

• Expert level understanding of network protocols, routing, and network configuration

• Ability to use tcpdump, wire shark, network monitor, or other tools to trouble-shoot network issues

• Operating system security, compliance, and audit

• Ability to troubleshoot and actively monitor network, application, and system performance

• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

• Experience implementing, managing, and troubleshooting various Cisco networking and security products

• Experience managing and monitoring system security and health for hundreds of network devices

• Experience managing, upgrading, and deploying Microsoft Active Directory and associated technologies

• Experience managing Microsoft System Center products

• Experience managing Solarwinds Orion products

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
