The Senior Vice President leads our Customer and Client teams for Canada. This position plays a critical role in Growing our People, Brands and Businesses. A solid command of the Canadian marketplace and all business management functions is required. A proven track record of delivering results, strategy and P&L targets while leading and motivating teams. The SVP ensures both client and customer objectives and KPI’s are being achieved created “Raving Fans” with our key stakeholders. Job Duty

· Client and Customer Leadership

  • Build and Nurture strong relationships at the top level within our clients and customers

  • Develop and execute retail strategies to exceed client and customer expectations creating Raving Fans

  • Drive the interpersonal exchange of value between our organization, clients and customers

  • Work with GM’s and Client leaders to achieve key KPI’s on behalf of our clients

  • Create and define long term strategy for our overall Client and Customer teams

  • Strategize and drive formal client program reviews; manage to all client/contract expectations

  • Oversee and drive for timely, accurate and efficient client reporting that offers ROI and field marketing intelligence that is valuable to clients

  • Achieve client sales targets within trade budgets

  • Lead the development of key Insights into go to market strategies, execution and growth

· Financial

  • Achieve P&L targets, manage business unit EBITDA targets

  • Own and drive revenue targets – increase existing clients business, grow white space with current clients

  • Attract new business – key role in Business Development for Canada

· Team Leadership

  • Oversee Client and Customer teams, to ensure that business plans, retail chain coverage, and field execution is top notch and exceeds client expectations.

  • Build processes and infrastructure to enable scalable, profitable growth

  • Oversee management of staff priorities, workload balancing/utilization, and routine staff professional development to keep turnover at a minimum and engagement high.

· Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper performance tracking and reporting systems are in place to hold staff accountable for their personal work quality & productivity as well as customer and client specific results.

  • Develop and implement business operating plans which formally identify additional business opportunities and specific ways to strengthen our service delivery.

  • Develop and manage client P&L versus budget; manage client revenue and gross margin forecasts; identify, plan and budget headcount and expenses required to meet growth plans.

  • Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources

Indirect Reports

  • May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports

Travel and/or Driving Requirements

  • Travel and Driving are essential duties and function of this job

  • Travel up to 15 %

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent experience

(Preferred): Bachelor's Degree Or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

15+ Years of experience in industry

  • Work experience in sales, marketing, trade marketing within consumer packaged goods

  • 10 years successfully managing a P&L, budgeting and forecasting and managing client expectations either personally or through a team

  • Experience working with Vice President of Sales level and above positions.

  • Experience in Brand Management, Customer Management, Category Management and Shopper Marketing

  • Previous experience with managing direct reports; reporting directly to VP or C-level executive.

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
